1984 was a good year! How did we ever do it? I don't feel, today in 2004, that I was ever that young and vigorous! Oh, did we have fun!
Many of the memories recalled in this 1984 Volume are the things that Erin and I used through the years to prove that it was all worthwhile. We had such good friends. We had a constant rejuvenation of friendship We kept close contact with the family even though we were in another part of the world and constantly on the move. Looking back on it through the eyes of the Wettig-O-graM I can only be happy with the time and the way we lived it! The visit of my family in Arizona was a highlight never quite matched again. Brad and Grace in the Mexican 'get up' is something I remember everytime I look at the sombrero and serape on the shelf in the dining room, I loved that picture of Stephen in front of the flag with his Guitar. Of course I never liked the Guitar quite as much as I liked Stephen! The picture of Aunt Georgia playing the harmonica always makes me go dig it out of the cabinet so I can play Old Folks at Home! It was a usual year in the medical department too. This was the year that my Golf handicap really skyrocketed from a 9 to a17 in a few months. So they cut out a piece of my lung! Read about it! It was also the year that Jenny's husband, PeeWee, died after his visit toArizona. This was a tragedy, but also a blessing that it happened so quickly. The year was full of memories that have lived on and are constantly being recalled. I hope there are some who will enjoy reliving the great fun that we had.
